Why bother to lather? That was our focus question for topic this term.
It's important to lather our hands so we can get rid of the germs. Kefu's animations shows this so take a look.

Our topic in term 2 was called 'Bigger, Better, Faster, Stronger'. When looking at some activities we could do for this topic Miss Walters came across Kanye West's song - Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger and thought the words were so similar she would set us a challenge. I took up the challenge and my teacher filmed me on the last day of term.
Japati mentions 3 reasons why you need to wash your hands, watch his movie and find out the answers.
Write the answers in a comment and we'll let you know if they are correct.
It's the end of another term already!
Just because Room 11 children aren't at school doesn't mean we will stop posting on our blog (we've scheduled posts right up until we come back to school). We want to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday and we'll see you all back again for term 3 (and another brand new topic).

At the beginning of the term our teacher found a cool YouTube Daft Hands clip. Miss Walters thought it would be a neat challenge if we could copy it by the end of the term. I was brave enough to give it a try on the very last day of term.

Damien has drawn his backgrounds showing when it's important to wash your hands.
They are when you play outside, before you eat, after you've been to the bathroom and after playing in your bedroom.
When else should you wash your hands?

This morning Room 11 and I went to the courts at 10am for our surprise. When we got there I saw lots of cones, rugby balls and two men called Siva and Siliva (they play for the Junior Warriors Team and are really good players). We did some rugby skills with the men. We played passes with the rugby balls and we also played a game called Kicking Tennis. Another game we played was a zig zag game and the last group had to do push ups. I felt happy because we got to meet some up and coming Warrior players and because we had a surprise. I had fun!

This morning Room 11 went to the courts for a surprise. When we got there we saw two men named Siliva and Siva. We played racing and passing games. It was fun because we also played a kicking game and it was my best game. Another favourite part of mine was when we were working together like a team (just like the Junior Warriors team would). Thank you for coming and I hope you come again.

This morning Room Eleven and I walked to the court for a surprise. When we got to the court I saw cones and two men called Siva and Siliva. We did some rugby skills with the cones on the ground. Room Eleven and I had to be split into four groups. My group was to slow at one of the games we played so we had to do push ups. It was really cool though. Thank you for coming to my school and I hope you come again.

Every Thursday till the end of term, Room 11 has netball sessions with our coach called Emma.
Here are some of our photos from our first session were we learnt how to chest pass and bounce pass. Stay tuned for the next lot of photos where we will be learning how to shoot and defend.
Here are some photos of our last swimming lesson at the CLM Pools in Glen Innes.
We loved having professionals teaching us how to swim and have nearly finished writing our recounts so keep a look out for them on our blog.
This morning Room 11 and I walked to the courts for a surprise. When we got there we saw two men and their names were Siva and Silvia (they play for the Junior Warriors team). We played racing, passing and kicking games. My best part was doing all the drills because I wish to play rugby. Thank you for coming and I hope you come again soon.

At 10am Room 11 and I strolled to the courts for a surprise outside the junior classes. When we got there we saw some cones and two men, their names were Siliva and Siva. They are both from the Junior Warriors Team. Those cones were for us to do some drills so we could learn and have some fun. It was cool because we played racing, passing and a kicking game as well. My best part was having a great time with my class.
