My iMovie is about moving my rocket going past the planets that I draw on my cards in Hyperstudio.In the solar system there are 8 planets that orbit around the sun. I worked very hard on this so I hope you enjoy it!

In the Solar System the planets orbit around the sun. The closest planet to the sun is Mercury. Then it goes; Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.

Did you know that pluto is not a planet anymore, it is now a dwarf planet.

Nikita's Writing

This morning Room 11 and I went to the courts at 10am for our surprise. When we got there I saw lots of cones, rugby balls and two men called Siva and Siliva (they play for the Junior Warriors Team and are really good players). We did some rugby skills with the men. We played passes with the rugby balls and we also played a game called Kicking Tennis. Another game we played was a zig zag game and the last group had to do push ups. I felt happy because we got to meet some up and coming Warrior players and because we had a surprise. I had fun!

Taste Testing

Guess what! For our writing experience this week we all became taste testers. Miss Walters had organised some food for us.

Asena

Have you ever been a taste tester before? Well I have. This week on Monday Miss Walters told us we were going to become taste testers.

Tame

I was surprised when Miss Walters brought out the first plate. We had to smell the food then taste ti. I thought it was Maple Syrup and I was correct. It was delicious when I finally got to sample a taste of the food.

Jordan

Our second plate had a blob of vegemite on it. I thought it smelt like coco and when I tasted it, it was yuck. My group guessed right because we had some good taste testers.

Nikita

The last sample of the day was mild salsa. When I saw it, smelt it and lastly tasted it I thought it was chilli sauce. Out group was wrong but so was everyone else.

Hannah

I really enjoyed the experience because I love tasting new food. The worst part was when I tasted the vegemite. I hope Miss Walters thinks of another experience soon.
