In room 11 we are learning the Maori guardians in Maori.
Once there was papa the earth mother and rangi the sky father they had sons names Tu,Tane,Rongo,Tawhirimatea, Haumia and Tangaroa.
Tu is the god of man and war.
Haumia is the god of food.
Tangaroa became guardian of the sea.
Tawhirimatea became the guardian wind and storm
Tane is the guardian of forest and trees.
Rongo is guardian is the guardian of peace and agriculture.
