In the beginning

we are learning to write about the guardians of the beginning

Tane is the guardian of the forest,

Tu is the guardian of man and war,

Rongo is the guardian of peace and agriculture,

Tawhirimatea is the guardian of the wind and storms, 

Haumia is the guardian of the wild food, 

Tangaroa is the guardian of the sea, 

 and Ranginui is the sky father and papa is the earth mother.
