Carlos' Swimming Reflection
We now have a pool at our school and also a man called Chris has come to teach us to swim.
I enjoyed playing water polo with Chris, Ben and Matt. I think that it is so cool to have a pool at our school. I also think that I'm the best swimmer! Ha ha (Jokes) I wish I could be the best swimmer though.
Wow! With all of this swimming thing going on, we're having fun trying water polo, snorkeling, surf lifesaving and triathlon. I hope I do well at the Weetbix Triathlon.

Makalita's Reflection on 2010
This year I have really enjoyed going to camp, I especially liked skating and swimming. I would still like to learn more about volcanoes and Mighty Mariners. I think that I could have worked harder on writing and art, because sometimes it was too hard.
My favourite memory from year five was going to One Tree Hill on our team trip.
I know that I have improved in reading and maths because when I learn I like it quiet and to be by myself.

Baseball
During this term Rooms 13, 14, 15 & 16 have been lucky enough to have special Baseball lessons. We had a professional player, called Cola come every week on a Thursday to show us baseball drills, skills and teach us how to play the game. Last week we were lucky enough to play against the other classes in a mini tournament - even the teacher's had to play! Here is a movie to show you what we got up to.
(Don't forget to watch right to the end of the movie, you're in for a special treat.)

On the courts a strange thing came to our school. It was a brand new swimming pool!

The best thing ever in our pool was swimming and diving. The pool is right next to rooms 12, 13 and 14, so when we get changed we can go there straight away.

The pool was cold the first time, but we got in anyway and swam around, it eventually warmed up.
